This piece is one of my favorite paintings. I created this when the first version got accepted in the Black Creativity show at the Museum of Science & Industry. It sold before I could exhibit it at Black Creativity, so I decided to make a new one. This is when I learned that it’s not so easy to simply recreate a work of art in the same way. This piece is a result of weeks of late nights, and an entirely separate painting creative to collage onto this one. It’s not exactly the same, it’s even better.

If I could imagine the perfect man, he’d be strong, smart, and capable of creating real change in the world — not just for himself, but for others. He gives back. He builds. He dreams boldly.

Interstellar Inventor is a large-scale, cosmic tribute to that kind of visionary. Measuring 48x72” and painted on natural birchwood, this mixed media piece blends graphite, ink, acrylic, and collage. The figure emerges in deep contemplation — his thoughts generating cities, constellations, and worlds unseen.
